Press-releases 12/01/2007 In December 2006, the Mission “Ukraine-Cognita” has fulfilled an order of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine to create printed material presenting our country in a positive way to the country’s guests and potential partners. In total, 108 thousand copies of various publishing products were printed ranging from distributional material to gift editions.
The uniqueness of this project lies in the wide variety of language versions of the printed material about Ukraine. Except for editions in English, German, French and Russian which are published in Ukraine, now people who speak Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Chinese or Arabic will be also able to get to know about our country.
Within the framework of this project, we published the following editions:
- a bilingual gift photo-album album “Ukraine: New Discoveries, New Opportunities, Common Future,” with the following versions: English-German, French-Italian, Spanish-Portuguese, Japanese-Chinese and English-Arab;
- a souvenir photo-album “Ukraine? Ukraine!”, with the following language versions: English-German, French-Italian, Spanish-Portuguese, Japanese-Chinese and English-Arab;
- a souvenir photo-album “Falling in Love with Kyiv”, with the following language versions: English-German, French-Italian, Spanish-Portuguese, and Japanese-Chinese;
- a series of booklets in English, French, German and Russian languages about Ukraine and its most attractive tourist regions and cities (Ukraine, Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv, Crimea, Carpathian Mountains) as well as a tourist scheme-maps of these regions in English language;
- a wall calendar for the year 2007 for presentational purposes.
This set of publishing materials has allowed the MFA of Ukraine to supply diplomatic representative offices abroad with information about the country, to form presentational packages for foreign delegations coming into Ukraine, as well as to provide promotional printed products to Ukrainian delegations taking part at international conferences, exhibitions or other activities.
